Better sight

If you can see it in a baby’s smile,
In a world so big yet small every mile,
In a playful group of kids around the corner,
In a mystifying magic performer.

If you can feel it in the hustle of leaves,
In a poor man’s prayer that solemn believes,
In the whistle of the birds that sing along,
In the hymn of the church’s enveloping song.

If you can touch it on your glistening skin,
In a sweet solace that lies within,
In the memoir of every passing day,
In the winds of change dancing ballèt.

If you can kiss the pride off your shoulders’ so wide,
In a heartbeat heard from deep inside,
In a charm you feel beneath your chin,
In your spirit shine and soul glisten.

If you can hear your heart cry with joy,
In every success you earnestly employ,
In all the misery your eyes foresee,
In all the merry thou offers thee.

You really are not as unhappy as can be,
For you miss the above you cannot see,
‘Cause you’re blinded with hoax delight,
And its time you envision the better sight.
